Hi Guys

Well time is moving on and I am assuming that with the previous organisers moving off the forum etc and not wanting to be part of it in the future apparently, it needs to move forward if its is going to happen in 2014. I am not volunteering to run it but I would be happy to support it in some small way. It would be a shame if it did not continue in whatever guise, location, date and format.

There has been endless debate about what is needed / wanted over the weekend and to be honest my personal opinion is that it does need a refresh and different approach to keep interest and to keep it going.

So should we be looking for a new lead person and supporting committee to take this on and if so would the forum support this approach?? If so, are there people out there ready to step up to plate I wonder??

Cheers

Chris

Rumours of me moving off the forum have been greatly exaggerated! ;^) But I know what you mean....

Don't worry Chris I have heard a sniff of some plans being made, and I will of course support anyone who wants to step up, if they want my support that is.

In terms of timing we've got a couple of months before any announcements need to be made so there's plenty of time.

Well done Chris and Adam

I for one have loved every Wedge Fest I have been to (only missed 1 due to family hols)
and cherish the great friends I have made over the years there and on these forums
and certainly don't want it to die for the sake of a bit of work by a few volunteers
and therefore offer my limited services.

Unfortunately due to my West Yorkshire TVRCC RO commitments , running my own business
and family commitments I can't offer to lead this but will offer as much of my time as I can
to help the Committee with planning and running BBWF 2014

Come on guys get your names down and lets have a good time and laugh as usual

Cheers
Trickie

I reckon I am a shoo in for the foodathon title.
I'm not sure i can manage a chassis full of rusty but I will have a go lol

I dont have a huge amount of spare time but if we have a volunteer for leader I will happily help out as much as i can.

Well guys I have received a few pm's with offers of assistance so we could have the basis of a committee. Still need a few more people, so any offers of help and assistance to set this up would be appreciated yes

Once we have a core group then the plan would be for them elect the lead etc

Anyway come on any other offers fellas???

Cheers

Chris

I've just had a lightning bolt idea for a bit of fun involving wedge driving - no H&S issues tho - not sure how practical it would be but definitely a laugh. No thret of damage to cars either!

Actually I think that's a better idea - wedge jousting with a target bail! Velcro ball on the tip of the joust onto velcro target - brilliant!

Here's a clue
