Just finishing up with the build of my new garage and thoughts have turned to the finishing details.

I'm thinking painting the interior walls BRIGHT YELLOW for a bit of fun. As the house is a listed building everything outside has had to be in conformance with this or that regulation. That's fine I don't want something that looks out of place.

But inside.... I think what the heck. It's only 3 walls and a bit of paint.

Bring on the roasting. furious

Yellow

Associated with: sunshine and energy, stimulates the intellect
Best for: kitchens, dining rooms or north-facing rooms
Pitfalls: not very restful for a bedroom. Yellow is thought to enhance feelings of emotional distress

Strangely no mention of garages

Grey with a black floor is probably the safest option if you want to sell your garage at some point in the future.......

Floor is light grey ceiling whit and the inside of the garage door is off white (pretty boring)..

Aston - black
Lotus - yellow
Ultima GTR - red
Audi - dark blue
VW - silver

So only the Lotus gets lost in the blazing yellow glow!

It's part of the house so if I move just a coat of white and back to boring.

If you want to do something different don't just bung in a random colour experiment, why not buy a book on Feng Shui, check the direction of your front and garage door and select the colour that will harmonise you, your cars and the house biggrin

Mine is bright white with strip lights the whole length at 8ft and at 9 inches. It means that I can really see to work on and in and under without any dark area's. It's more like an operating theater. Mind you I do work on my motor. If you dont then I dont suppose it matters

Top tip Grant.

Make sure that you include this in the next version of your book.

Yellow......

Great colour but attracts flies, wasps, and other insects.... Which will then poop on your car....smile

Mikey K, it's a bit of worry that you actually had link to a page that explain what colours mean;)

The other comment about attracting insects is an interesting point, but then that's what car covers are for.
