Classic car show

did anyone go to this show, i did, was it just me, or was you disappointed with the tvrcc stand. Nice people on the stand, s**t display.
Having taken part in the Alexandra Palace show last year I have an idea of how much hard work goes into organising it, I'm sure whowever was involved would appreciate constructive feedback.
If you want to see dressing up for the part you need only go to Goodwood. Its all part of the show and all the better for creating the right atmosphere IMHO.
To just see lines of cars with no dressing up would be, for a lot of people I reckon, plain boring. Shows must become more interactive if increased visitor numbers are hoped for.
Best show stand for me : Oh those Russians
or was it a p*ss take at the expense of TVR

How about going back to basic's and re-create TVR stands from years gone by. Seem to recall models draped over TVR bonnets with less attire than would be worn on the beach. ![]()
Worked then attracting the crowds but I guess its all a little bit PC incorrect, shame
"Why sit on your washer when you could ride your TVR..."
The worrying thing is that it could well happen given the new slogan

[quote=SHIFTY]It was judged the best stand at the show by the organisers, with the Sprint magazine coming first as the best car club mag.
I'd hate to see what Tovey thought of the other stands
i thought the other stands were o.k thanks, is it me or can we not express an opinion on here without getting slated. I am tvr to the core and i just thought with all the changes the stand would be a bit different.

I agree with Tovey, to a point. Club is awarded best mag' but I thought the stand was a little bit left wanting. Some say the cars do it all so the rest is just dressing the cake. Compared to some stands TVRCC stand looked a bit old hat. As I said perhaps it was deliberate so all the admiration would be soley on the cars. Personally I loved to have seen a more upfront or louder display

Woops, A million apologies, I presumed (obviously wrongly) that TVR's stand wasn't brilliant, but got voted the best one, that the others couldn't have been great.
Wasn't trying to slate you, perhaps I should have put a smilie after my comment, but apologies if you think I was.
As for your opinion, I couldn't give two f***s about yours or anybody elses

Maybe a good theme for the stand would be the Woody Allen film 'Sleeper', complete with its own "Orgasmatron"
