I have to nominate my late father (God rest him).

When I was born, in 1970, he owned a Ford Corsair.

Which he traded in, in 1974/75, for an...

Austin Allegro.

Which he traded in, in the early 80s, for an FSO Polonez (Oh yes).

After that, he went up market and bought a K Series Rover... wink

So he owned, in succession, several of the most awful cars ever.

Can anyone do worse?

C'mon, fess up!

As it seems to be mostly bad cars owned by parents.

My dad had 2 Landcrabs,a J reg Morris 1800,then an N reg [one of the last before Princess]

Wolseley 6 which i remember had appalling reliability.

The Dolomite 1500 HL that came next wasn't nice either.

I got extra driving tuition in that and MUCH preffered my instructors Escort 1.1 Popular.

My Grandfather, in my lifetime had -

X reg Volvo 340
A reg Volvo 340
C reg Volvo 340
D reg Volvo 340
G reg Volvo 340

And no, he didn't work for Volvo. My parents bought the last 3 off him too!

Then they stopped making them so he had to get an Astra, and then finally a Hyundai Atoz noddy car before having to give up entirely.

Is it just me who thinks that this guy gets a slightly unfair ribbing on here?
Anyway, although I don't know anyone with exceptionally bad taste in cars, I can nominate any (usually female) person who buys whatever looks nice despite being given sound advice by their brother who loves and knows about cars...

Not the worst cars here by a good margin but he doesn't like change does he? That's about 8 and a half years per car on average, I've never owned a car for even half that long! I was going to say I've never owned anything that long but then I checked what pants I'm wearing....

Yep, its a legendary effort, he has absolutely no plans to change has ZT, spent a lot of money on a Cam Belt and tyres recently, it is like new, they are a superb car and his is probably one of the best examples in the UK, he came round in it today, it is perfect, glad someone values and preserves our (with a hint of BMW) motoring heritage.
