How to replace an E92 M3?

Alpina are quoting 0 - 100 kph in 4.2 for the B3 - and 4.0 for the 4WD version which we won't get in RHD. Top speed is 190 mph. Torque is at least 550 Nm from 2200 rpm to 5200 rpm.

What can BMW do to make a better twin turbo car?

The Alpina uses the 8 speed ZF. Apparently the M3/4 will use the current boxes, either 7 speed DCT or 6 speed manual. And apparently the 435d will have 4WD which appeals.

Confused, and tempted by a Cayman S.

I wouldn't be surprised if the new M3/4 doesn't have a manual option....might be US only like it is for the M5.
