Im trying to find a set of track tyres, road legal if possible.
Maxsport do a good cut slick, RB5, at a good price, 225/45/17, fine on front, trouble is i need a 255/40/17 (could go 245) for the rear and it doesnt look like maxsport do one.

Thinking of matching them up with a different make for rear but struggling to come up with anything comparable for performance and price.

Open to suggestions.
Cheers

I used to use Achilles 123 on the MX5, were dirt cheap (in 195/50R15 at least) and seemed to stick well and take the abuse while still being progressive.

Not much experience of other track tyres to compare it with mind you, but I've met a few people who race and hillclimb on them so they can't be too bad.

IndySport have a parger range, but they cant offer a rear like that.

Id suggest fitting four similar sized tyres. A little stretch wont hurt and itll probably help you to actually get the tyre working. The majority of offset tyre sizes are there for aesthetic reasons only.

Would be nice as i can get a set of 4 x RB5s at 225/45/17 for £350 ish, bargain for what are great tyres, trouble is on a 9.0" rim its going to be really stretched, and also the car needs plenty of meat out the back.
Ill have a look at these Indysport tyres

I intend to stretch 225s over a 9" rear. Ideally Id like a pair of 9" fronts too.
