drivers door rattle

Hi everyone
i have a very annoying rattle in drivers door on my 993 coupe.i have had door card off and removed plastic cover and noticed window lifter as started to corrode and bulge out, is this the problem as the rattle goes away when i drop the window about 3" away from the narrow part of the door.your thoughts please.

These are certainly known to corrode quite badly, so I would replace that first anyway and go for there.

My 964 windows rattle when part-opened. I think it might be because the felt just under the outer seal has rotted away. I've not got round to trying to fix it yet though.
