E36- Bilstein B12?
Discussion
Folks,
Strongly considering fitting a B12 kit (springs and shocks) to my E36 convertible, since the original shocks are on 118k and probably have seen better days.
Any experiences of this transition? I'm hoping the new shocks might be a bit "tighter" but is the ride on these likely to be smoother than worn OEM springs? I don't want it too "crashy"! I've polybushed the rear since they were in need of replacement anyway and may do the front ARB bush whilst I'm at it.
I've seen some from a German eBay seller for about £600 posted which seems like a great deal given that the lowest I can find them for in the UK is about £720.
Ta!

You can expect a much firmer ride than OEM. B4 are Bilstein's OEM equivalent shock.
Thanks, although it seems that the shocks in the "Kit" I'm referring to are actually B6, which don't sound too extreme:B6 & B8 Sports Dampers - Bilstein High Gas Pressure Monotube Shock Absorbers. Uprated by around 10-15% on standard damping the biggest difference between these units and their twin tube rivals is their ability to combine a smooth ride with excellent spring control.
