We occasionally have the requirement to send out pictures the same day to customers so I need a very good quality PC printer. I am currently using an Epson 900 which is OK but too slow, I am sure technology has moved on but I haven't been paying attention!

Consumable cost and speed are issues, but the main criterion is quality, which needs to be as good as possible. Has anybody got any suggestions?

epson 2100, with lyson inks, lyson paper and profiled professionaly will give you the best quality. samll gamut inks for monochrome, and fotonic inks for colour. if however speed is what you want a kodak 8550 dry thermal will print 10x8 at speed, but you won't get the range of tones,
