Nice! My first 3 SAABs were 9000s and I have been thinking about getting one again as a daily barge.
I used to buy them at 4-5 years old and 80-120k and run them up to 150ish before chopping in for another.
Had a 2.3 eco with 215bhp Abbott chip
3.0V6 Griffin (that was a gentleman's club)
and my final one was a run-out spec 2.3 turbo fitted with the HOT engine, LSD and Aero suspension but just badged as a 2.3 Turbo and only a little lip spoiler rather than the whole aero bodykit. Because the APC kept popping, Luigi - the Master technician at Offord Motor company, cable-tied in a big Brass Manual Boost controller and some new plumbing and a couple of other tweaks to take it close to 300bhp.
I ran it for 80,000 miles (80k-160k) and the only big issue was it lunching its gearbox at 140k (recon replacement fitted for £875) It was a fantastic Sleeper that was supremely practical.

Have fun with yours, they are the consumate Mile-muncher, the good thing with the auto Turbo is that you can just select boost level with your right foot and the 'box will just then shoot you towards the horizon as if you are on a big piece of elastic!

Interesting. A few years ago, I bought a 9-5 3.0v6 griffin from offord motor company (they are pretty close to me) and it was a spanking car - hardly ever put a foot wrong and went like stink. Turns out they seem to be pretty rare cars - and Ive not seen another one with the spec my one did.I used to buy them at 4-5 years old and 80-120k and run them up to 150ish before chopping in for another.

Last year I went to look at a 9-5 estate again from them, which turned out to be at the garage down the road (great Paxton motor company) and the owner was also involved with Offord.
(I didnt buy the estate, but did fall in love with a black e-class and bought that instead).
Nice! My first Saab was a 9000 anniversary, same colour as yours but with black interior, fantastic car and should have kept it. I've had 3 now, here's my last one before swapping for a 9-3

Damn shame to see that mental 9000 got broken in the end, it was the car that started my love affair with tuned 9000's!
Thanks! Yeah looking back maybe I should have sat on it a few months then gone for the super hx40 turbo as planned and pushed for silly power
All worked out in the end, I'm really enjoying this 9-3 v6 and can't wait to get cracking on the power!

My 4th SAAB was a 9 5 3.0 V6, and it was the only one that comprehensively let me down! It blew a head gasket, then dropped a big end.Last year I went to look at a 9-5 estate again from them, which turned out to be at the garage down the road (great Paxton motor company) and the owner was also involved with Offord.

Offord sorted me out and bought it back off me for spares in exchange for Abbott Racing's ex-Demo 9 5:

Which was my second Favourite SAAB that I owned of the 6 (after the 9000 above)
Simon and Bill have left Offord Motors and set up in Paxton, but Offord remains as a SAAB and TVR specialist

The merc I bought had 160k on the clock when I bought it - and I was worried it wouldnt be up to the job I had for it, but they reassured me it was a good car - they were dead right - its done 192k now (in less than a year) and is faultless and immaculate. I'd definatley buy from them again if the right car came up.
