Fearnsport Map

Hi there, I am looking for some balanced advice here on the above.

I have a low mileage 2003 996 turbo and have been considering a remap for some time now. I recently had a quotation from Fearnsport and the price looks pretty good for the potential results / diligence in getting there.

Now, I have had my share of noisy vehicles in the past and I am convinced that I want to retain the standard exhaust.

I am interested in people's experience in going for this modification in a) the subjective / objective effects that will result b) any potential pitfalls that I should look out for after said modification.

Thoughts welcomed with relevant facts to back up if possible? Thanks in advance....

Fearnsport have a very good reputation, and given that their core business is motorsport technical support, I guess you could say that they are putting the money where their mouth is with their maps.

I doubt that you could do better.

You can't go wrong with Matt's re map.

I have had it done on my 996 gt2 and it transformed the car. You will feel the difference straight away. Specialty midrange and top end.

I would go with one of his manifold and de-cat as well if you want bit more power and slightly better/louder exhaust tone.

I notice that there was a group deal in the dim and distant past through trawling old threads. is this something that happens regularly and worth finding out about?
