Trying to think of some of the worst badge/grille transplants. The Austin/Van den Plas Allegro has to be a low point, but what of more modern instances?

The worst one I can think of is this...

I'm not sure if this comes under the same heading, but its close enough.

I know what they're getting at, but it just looks gash.

It's a Rover 200 BRM, BRM racing cars in the 60s had an orange oval painted round the nose.

For a sh*tty old Rover, (enter MG John) I like these. Lovely red quilted leather seats.

As I said, I know why they did it. However it looks gash and it looks to someone who doesn't know the orange intake history (ie. 99% of the population) like you've had a crash and found an orange bit that fits in a scrapyard.

This one is routinely trotted out by Alfa fans as being "not a real Alfa" although given that it has an Alfa engine and gearbox it had more genuine Alfa content than the Mito which is 100% Fiat Punto.

Most odd.

Have you sat in one? They have more leather used in the interior than a DB9...

No Japanese Cherry in it though and it can't be 100% as it has a different body. Alfas are about handling, the Arna wasn't. Trying to inject a bit of sex into the "sister" Nissan Cherry Europe was also a signal failure.

The Vanden Plas 1300 and Allegro may have not been to everyone's tastes but were actually quite plush inside.

For me, the most offensive rebadge job ever was the application of Chevrolet badges to Daewoo crap.
