Hi - It appears that US Porsche owners who have experienced the dreaded IMS failure have got a result - see http://www.imsporschesettlement.com
Just wondering if this news had reached the PH community (apologies if I missed it in any previous posts) and also if anyone is interested in pursuing a similar result here. Again somebody may have already got things going on this front. If so would be pleased (delighted) to hear from them. Also any chance of this story being covered on the homepage??

What does that mean for future owners of a car from that period? I'm moving to the US next year and was looking at 996s. Does that settlement agrrement act as an effective guarantee for any future issues?

As I understand it there is a cutoff date for claims at the end of October - best to contact the legal people who ran the action or check US based blogs.

BTW - have now established that there was no admission of guilt on Porsches part this action and its result carries no weight in other territories - so UK owners are stuffed.....agian

So any vehicle ten years or older won't be covered even low mileage ones, that won't do much for confidence or residuals, mike
