I have been feeding the cat James Wellbeloved cat food for a while now but looking for a cheaper alternative.

Any suggestions please?

My advice, try not to look for a cheaper alternative, cheaper = poorer ingredients.

If your cat is doing well on it, try and stick with it, I actually thought I was going to be offering advice on better foods!

Such as Lilly's kitchen, Applaws and Meowing heads smile

Trust me, if your cat is happy with the food then stick with it, they can get funny if you change their dinner.

Buy it on Amazon via 'Subscribe & Save'. Not only is it cheaper than pet shops, but you get 5% discount.

Don't feed your cat cheap food. Cheap cat food is full of carbohydrate, which is not what they'd eat in the wild, and will cause problems in the long run with their teeth and diabetes.

I started off feeding Bob on James Wellbeloved, simply because that's what a friend fed hers. However as soon as I realised there was better available, I traded up.

Bob gets a tray of 'Lily's Kitchen' wet and 25g dried 'Applaws' per day. Probably works out around £1.30 or so per day. I can spare that for my best feline friend.

We feed our cats raw. It is both cheaper and better for the cats IMHO.

Some bits can be quite expensive - hearts etc but frankly well worth it for the health of the animals.

Same here. Worming tablets can be a bit pricey though wink
