Hi All,
I am of to Spa this weekend. What do people tend to do for converting lights on a Griff for EU driving.

Stick diverters on light covers.
Remove headlights and do properly.
Not bother and look confused if stopped by the law

or any other ideas?

Cheers
Brian

I've got a rhd Griff registered in France and the lights are unaltered. I don't often drive at night but I've not been flashed when I have, probably because the headlights are so feeble! Sticking beam converters on the covers won't work, but sticking them on the headlights would, if you can be ar$ed. http://www.amazon.co.uk/RAC-Deflectors-Beambenders-Motoring-Continental/dp/B00A4H5BW6 work well on my other rhd car.

If you're not going to be driving in the dark much, I'd take some of the above with me and, if stopped, apologise for having forgotten to put them on on the way over.

Just stick some black tape on the bits where it goes, those beam diverters that Halfrauds sell are a comedy joke.

Been to Europe lots of time and never used diverter or got flashed. However I do keep a pack I the car I case old bill ask. Tend to find lights are so poor on griffith anyway it hasn't been an issue. Don't know of anyone else on out trips that's use diverter either. Not to say I'm right though!

Not tried it on a Griff but when I used to take the pug to Eurpoe I'd turn on the lights at night while pointed at a wall (or similar) so the pattern was easily visible. Then apply insulation tape to the lights until the offending part of the headlight pattern was removed. I don't see why the same should not work on a Griff, certainly worth a try.
