Spyder PSE Exhaust Tip Issue

Anyone had an issue with their Sports Exhaust tips corroding? I've raised a query with my dealer to ask of this is covered under warranty however I thought I'd ask anyone has had a similar experience. I bought the car at approx two years old and the exhaust tip was already corroded so I'm not sure if they are meant to be a black chrome type effect?

I care!! The car has only done 6k miles and the rest of it is lovely and shiney.

Mine are OK on my Cayman R. I swapped mine for new black tips a couple of weeks back and paid over £400 fitted! The PSE exaust tail pipes are even more expensive!

Didn't know then I was going to p/x it a couple of weeks later then as I could have saved the £... Anyhow if anyone wants it, send me a pm or email which I assume you can get from my profile before I stick it on ebay

£400?!

I got given the black tips by my OPC when my PSE was fitted with the chrome ones.

I've since put the black ones back on - looks much better.

OP - my chrome ones haven't corroded in two years.

That looks like salt corrosion, have you tried 1000 grade wirewool with Mothers Mag?

I've tried wire wool, Autosol and also Auto Finesse Mercury metal polish with no joy.

I wonder if you could get them chromed by a specialist company? Surely that would be far less than 400 beer vouchers?
