Charlotte Motor Speedway

I am in North Carolina when the Bank of America 500 is on at Charlotte - anybody any experience of the venue etc Too good an opportunity to miss but assistance needed ref where is good to view from etc etc

We went to Charlotte last year - we loved it! We had seats about halfway up in the Grand National Tower, which gave a good view of the whole track.

Don't sit too low down, as it's much easier to follow the race if you can see the whole track; Charlotte's a night race, which i find makes it just that little bit easier to follow a particular car.

While you're in Charlotte it's worth visiting the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Most of the teams are based in the Charlotte area & run tours of their facilities; can't comment on whether it's worth doing, as we didn't do it.

This is well worth doing, went a few years ago, fantastic day out!
