I just finished fitting small, pretty LED indicators to the motorbike to replace the big old clunky things it was originally fitted with. There were various weird electrical gubbins to make sure it all flashed at the proper speed plus all the fittings I'd need & a few to spare.

I don't need the instructions, of course, as I'm not only a PH-style powerfully built director but also a friggin' genius when it comes to electrics and the owner of a soldering iron that doesn't get enough exercise. I'm also a DIY perfectionist with as much time as necessary when working on a labour of love.

It all works perfectly (obviously) but is also beautifully installed, waterproof, & will last forever despite weather/zombie apocalypse/whatever.

After I'd finished I took a casual look at the instructions....................... oh.
If I'd bothered to read them I'd have noticed the easy way, including using ALL the fittings included. It would have been 95% as good as my way of doing things but would have taken about a quarter of the time.

The moral of the tale- put the male ego to one side & read the goddamned instructions before you start.
