Can a bad wiper relay drain a battery?
Discussion
Hi Guys
Never asked a technical question here before but its worth a go.
My 1998 e39 BMW has had an intermittent wiper failure issue which I suspect to be a bad relay.
Around the same time (the past 3-4 days) the battery has been draining over night and sometimes after a few hours. Could these two issues be related?
I have just removed the relay to see if that makes a difference I I can hopefully start it in the morning! - the relay was not hot at all, none of them were in fact and other then a very slight rattle when shaken appears to be ok.
The car does appear to go into 'Sleep Mode' as the Park indicator goes out after 15mins.
Any help would be very much appreciated!!!
