I seem to recognise a few usernames that frequent both the AM PH forum and TZ-UK.

A recent joiner seems to be kicking up bit of fuss with his quest for the mythical land of the 'Sales Corner'. Hmmm, I wonder who it might be... scratchchin

I joined tz-uk when I wanted to buy a Rolex Submariner, was very dissapointed when I found out I had to make ots of comments to be able to access the classifieds. Ended up buying new so worked out OK in the end.

Exactly what happened to me. So I never bothered going on it since.

Just a bit stunned that I have to wait SIX MONTHS to be able to sell a watch on there!!

Ah well, their forum, their rules. It's a great place so far, lots going on; a proper geekfest!

You're not wrong about the geeks. Even more than on here! wink

There is one way to circumvent the SC rules (sort of): list your 'FOR SALE' watches in your signature. Then any prospective purchaser can get in touch via PM. You do, however, run the risk of upsetting the site owner/overlord, Eddie Platts. You might then get your account zapped, otherwise known as the 'glitch'.

Oh, I first read about your escapades in the 'Bear Pit'. I'm not sure that you will have access to that section yet (it's also time/post count dependent, I think). That's were the real 'fun' goes on. nerd

I have been on there for 3 or 4 years (flyerboy) and I must say there are a lot of knowledgeable members on there. A few "interesting" characters but on the whole a great forum with some genuine WISs (Watch Idiot Savants) smile ready to help. I believe the the Sales Corner rules were introduced to try an encourage active participation in the forum and also to discourage dealers/traders/chancers. Worth joining if you have an interest in horology.

Cheers, Gerry

I've been on TZ for many years and have traded many watches there. Personally I prefer the PuristS and have organised a couple of get-togethers with people coming from all over the world to attend. I just prefer the atmosphere on PuristS.
