Porsche Engines supercharged ?

Hello, as part of the VAG group who are supercharging engines across the range Audi s3,s4 etc are there plans to drop these high performance units into boxster cayman.

been talks for years about a 4 pot Boxster turbo..

never comes to market though, maybe one day.

Supercharging would be the way to go for me. Only on a small flat 4 that needs it though.

Not sure why SC's don't seem to produce a good result/package when mated to a Pork flat 6. Everyone seems to remove them after a while.

Supercharging vs Turbocharging is a complex subject but my understanding is that TC is more efficient overall, when you are using the measures that matter to Porsche.

Indeed they did a couple of models too:





As it's easy to drop the 991 engines straight into the 981s, that's what they do these days rather than supercharging.
