Company Car: 10,000 miles, 12 months old, £16.5K...
Discussion
Mods, if you feel this needs moving to another forum (Finance or Business perhaps?) feel free to do so.
Learned PHers. My company car policy is changing and I'm due a new car. The rules are anything (within reason, no supercharged coupes / convertibles etc) that is up to 12 months old, 10K miles and £16,500 in price.
Cars are sourced from a broker at circa 5% - 10% discoutn from a traders screen price, so I can look at Autotrader and search anything to £17.5 - £18K.
Question is, what to go for? Currently drive an A3 S-Line sportback which is OK, but I'd like a bit more space, a few more toys (bluetooth, cruise and iPod connection essential) and still decent motorway and a-road performance.
I'm currently thinking a mid-top range Mondeo / Passat estate, but open to other ideas. Will do about 17K miles per annum and in a very non-PH way, I prefer the power delivery of diesels for my daily runabout. Company car tax not the biggest issue, but wouldn't want to pay more than £175 per month if I can help it.
