Having been thinking of changing the wheel colour on my Rolex Blue Chimaera from Silver to Gold for years, I finally got it done.

They needed a refurb anyway so I bit the bullet.

This will probably be a marmite thing, but I am really pleased with the result.

For some reason, it makes the car look lower and wider ...

When I get a set of 5 stud centres for my Image wheels I was considering gold but keeping the rims polished ally.

What do I know, they're orange at the moment!

Ferraris often have gold wheels, so why not?

Not so sure about the red calipers though...too many colours.

The photo doesn't really do justice to it.

The car is Rolex Blue which is actually Purple with a Gold Pearlescence.

Fair point made regarding the red calipers .... I might end up changing them.

I think changing the caliper colour to black would make the wheels colour more appealing, l think they look good.

Looks alright, personally I would (well, I did) go for a slightly lighter gold, I think dark coloured cars need a light wheel colour, or black, not in between. Good on you for doing something different though, I know mine won't be liked by everyone but it's not their car at the end of the day!
