Hi all. Went to have my tracking done today. Excellent set up, loads of lasers, very professional. However, got the car up onto their hi-tech air ramps and......their computer didn't have the settings for a TVR CERBERA - great! Anyone got any ideas on the settings that they were after or where I can get them from? Any info appreciated. Regards MB

The experts (aka Joo) keep this kind of info to themselves - its a niche market - and now getting even nich'er... they all claim to be able to set them up right - but no one beats joo...
Take your car to him - he'll set it up better than any of these mickymouse lightshow garages...

lol thanx ash

fact is there's not *one* definitive setting for your car .. just like damper settings you can tailor the feel of your car on the geometry .. so that will dictate what goes on your suspension ..

you can have a general set-up , but the tvr general set-up IMO is good but not necessarily what *you* require.

As ash says, the ones we know to work well are kept off general release .. nothing to stop you getting your car set up and taking the readings off it after of course .. but if you go to somewhere that fettles suspension all week long you'll get to speak to someone who can bias your car to what you want rather than what someone else thinks it should be.

imo.

The standard settings are in the workshop manual. Give me a little while and I'll look them up for you.

Marcus,
If it was the folk in Christchurch, they should have the set up info from my car ( although I think they stored it as a Chimp, as the machine didn`t recognise a Cerbera)
I have the printed sheet at home, and can supply info if needed.
Whatever they set it at transformed the car, far less darting about / tramlining, and its still got tread onthe inside of the fromt tyres!

Seems a long way to go to get my tracking done. I live in Bournemouth. Tried the guys in Christchurch but they weren't sure. Also tried Pro Tyre at Cabot Lane, they didn't know either. Must be someone in the south that knows as much as Joo.

I tried pro tyre, but their lazer was bust, waiting for bits from Italy or some such story......

Take it to Christchurch tyres, Bargates , Christchurch ( scruffy yard just next to the railway bridge)
they know very little about cerberas , but do know how to use the fancy set up gizmo bolted to the wall, (and they have a sence of humour !!)
give them the numbers and at least the beast will steer and handle reasonably and not scuff its tyres out.
They should have my set up stored somewhere in the machine`s p.c.
