about to buy a 924

Am about to go down and take a look at this 924. It'll be my first purchase of this sort so I was wondering whether anyone had any thoughts?

Looks nice and shiny. Has a year's MOT- if starts and drives ok you can't go too far wrong for £1295.

Looks very nice indeed. In addition to the usual stuff, when you go for a drive in it, pop the windows down - this will create low pressure in the cabin, if the steel fuel tank is rusty (quite common) fumes will be drawn into the cabin, also take the fuel filler off and listen for the pressure release. It's a bit of a problem, but not a deal breaker... maybe just a bargaining point.

The 924 is a lot of fun, do it.

You might want to take a look at You Tube, Wheeler Dealers Series 1 Episode 1, where they rescue a 924. The programme is a few years old but nonetheless interesting if you're about to buy a 924.
