How much for a 1984 lotus/Westfield

Hi every one , I've been offered a 1984 lotus/Westfield car. The owner has asked me to make him an offer, and I'm trying to get an idea of what it should be. it's not in the greatest condition but the owner is a mechanic so it's runs fine but it's had a few owners. It's pre-lit alu body, had an engine rebuild and the chasis powder coated. I've got a number in my head but I don't want to offend the owner or vise-versa, get ripped off. I know it's difficult to give an accurate price with out seeing more but it would help to get some guidance.

There is no such thing as a Lotus/Westfield, it's just a Westfield. if it's a normal condition 84 pre lit with a xflow or Pinto then 4k-5k ish maybe?? Better off asking on the Westfield forum though.

Thanks for that, that's where I put the price, Infact I would almost go lower. Any way I posted around a few places but I knew I'd get the best responses on here as caterham owners are a clever bunch, especially with maths.
