Hello everyone I joined recently and I finally found a forum where I can share my passion for the last gtr.

much sought for so long and I finally bought it.
red!

sorry to disturb you but I am desperate because I have 2 problems:

I mount a mofificato-L98 with about 500cv Exchange g50/52 (turbo 5-speed) and unfortunately continue to break the joints transmission (sorry for my bad English but I use google translator) on the gearbox side and wheel side.

I mount on the gearbox side couplings porsche turbo, wheel side sierra.

unfortunately at the factory last tell me that there are only those.

any of you have some change?

any advice?

I use it only on the track.

- Second problem: the fans for cooling water are always attached.
Radiator small??
I do not understand.
water is about 127 ° c max on track.
please can anyone help me especially with the couplings??

I have tried many types but neither side wheel there is not much chance unless you change the wheel hubs.
thanks to all infinite
stefano

I put the seeds axles are stronger, bigger and stronger but also couplings every 3/4 turns on the track something breaks.

I'm sick and do not know what to do.

I guess I have to sell my adorta ultima banghead

I'm sorry I'm a bit clumsy with the web but if you go on youtube in my channel: 845ste you can find many videos on the track.

hello dear Fabbrica I remember having written it and you ever kind.

I have since installed a new transmission g50/52 (g50/50 before) and couplings with porsche turbo gearbox side and reinforced couplings sierra cosworth (or similar) wheel side.

I had written when I change g50 and old couplings.

now breaks less but always breaks.

the axle shafts do not work perfectly straight but sloping ground 10/15 °, but I see that all the last have this problem.

I do not know whether it is this that causes breakage.

I also did make new larger drive shafts reinforced material.

I continue to break the driver's side wheel side joint.

among the many things you buy from you, I also bought the headphones and couplings now so I solved the problem that exploded.

with your joints can keep my axle shafts? Do you guarantee that they will not break??

I did not know that my last Ultima was an old frame: sign Torsten Frank Powercaronline of German who sold it to me was not honest about many other things ........

I also wrote my friend Filippo, who speaks English well.

with new radiator thicker (thickness) resolves the problem?
please how much it costs?

thank you for what you can do.
I am very happy for the rest of my Ultima

hope I'm not the only one who has these problems on the track ......

From what I can work out from my CV joint thread, there are two types of driveshaft. Some have 108mm joint at each end and some have a 100mm joint on the hub end. They are Ford Scorpio/Sierra/Cosworth derived but are also used on exotica like Porsche, Ferrari and others.

The best joints are made by GKN and cost £50 (100mm x 32mm) - £60 (108mm x 40mm) each depending on diameter, and also thickness. Buy the OEM ones and the £60 rises considerably for the same part.

Seems Ultima now make an upright which can take the stub axle for the 108mm joint from the Escort/Sapphire Cosworth, so this is probably what is used for cars with big power.

You can probably machine the existing uprights to take the bigger joints, they are all derived from Lee Noble's original design.

Teflon hello thank you very much for your response.bouncebow
I have already installed the joints 108, because they have never broken.
However, the semi breaks the bottom of the joint: we are trying to figure out why.

for temperature perhaps, as he says the factory, I have a small radiator, maybe with 4 lanes instead of 4. we have to check.
many thanks for the advice

Hello everyone today I am very happy.
although I was not convinced honestly ..... I bought the original kit factory driveshaft and today I can say that there is nothing broken!
I shot a few rounds at Mugello, Monza, Adria, St. Martin Del Lago and NO break and then I would say that resist
I wanted to thank those few who have responded to me and the factory for giving me good advice.
A problem recognized by them in the past but now solved with the new kit.
At least for me with 550cv.

and someone wants to advise me with semi-slick can I have problems?
thanks

Salve Stefano,
Happy to hear that about your driveshafts and joints. I use the car mostly on track with a 600hp engine, sequential gearbox and slicks or semislick tires with not problems at the moment.
With your new set of factory parts you should be free of failure for a long time.
Ciao
Cheers,
Javier
