991GT3 delays, what's the crack??

It's because of the problems they are having with the engines, as soon as you rev past 8400rpm the pistions go pop and the bores score....
They are trying to find a way to put the racing quality mezger lump back in without making Andreas Preuninger's head go pop at the thought of trying to market the switch back.
The new 991 gt3 race cars are fine though, they kept the proper engine for some reason.

Ditto. Mine was supposed to be the first car at the dealer, Oct build and still not locked, no date. 
So I contacted Mid Sussex today who are my dealers on the GT3 and they said (Rob Newton - General Sales Manager):
'Following your email today I have spoken to Porsche cars GB and have asked a number of questions specifically around your order. I am told there are no UK cars being built as left hand drive variants (I asked as someone posted here about LHD and I originally asked for LHD and was told mid 2014 delivery earliest in UK), I have no information regarding engine issues and advise to be wary of forum opinion over fact from the manufacturers.
He continued: 'There have been no delays communicated on GT3, however it is quite often the case that we experience small delays in production of a new variant, all of our GT3 orders are scheduled however not locked for production , this does however come with the caveat that if we changed spec now it would definitely be thrown out of production and rescheduled. Your car is a November allocation slot in our first batch of three GT3, showing an estimated completion within the last week of November and as such will not be delivered to us before the end of November, if it arrives in December we will be expecting payment in full before month end, however we will not require you to register the vehicle or take delivery. If this is not suitable and you wish to cancel please let me know by return'
So from the word of Mr Porsche all is fine, maybe just slight delay.
Be interested to know if anyone else has asked same questions of their dealer...
