Did you mean this bit?

"In 2002 the Series III was introduced. Apart from having the headlamp pods fared in to give a smoother front wing contour"

Hi Mac

By fared in I think they meant "not pods" as the mark II Cerberas were. They have a telltale line of rubber around the twin headlamps.

Thanks for the compliment on my car too.

The 2 engine bay pictures on page 23 of the September Sprint are my engine bay before and after short induction too.

Regards
Simon

what amazed me was how few post 2000 cerbs were made. The bulk being made 1997-1998 which shows in the classifieds. This really is a rare performance car.

Thanks for clearing that up, Simon. I'm glad that the 18 months it took me to research and compile that article wasn't wasted on all readers.

Also many thanks to you, and everyone else, for allowing me to use your pics.

I read today that there were 1513 F40s made so Cerbs are in that level of rarity. thumbup

Enjoyed reading the article, lots of useful info.

Are you sure about the "series 2" being launched in September 2000?

Only saying this as mine has the four headlamp pods, Tuscan seats and updated rear lights, yet was registered in Jan 2000, with a build date of some time in 1999 according to the VIN plate.

The strips next to the windscreen and the door glass are they painted? The roll over bar at the top of the screen, is it round? The pods should be three lights.

All true - pic below, first registered in Jan 2000 (not March as I thought)

This is Earls court motorshow, October 1999. I'm pretty sure the yellow series 2 press car with purple interior was built before this.
