Having been advised by some random stranger today that my parking was not within some painted lines it got me wondering why on earth anyone would do this. I can see the value in pointing out littering or anti-social behaviour but how someone has parked? Can't fathom it. Is this something that has happened to anyone else or better still, is it something you do? I'd love to know why? I did ask the individual today what exactly it had to do with him but got a predictably blank response.

Probably because you are taking up 2 spaces.
And most of us looking for a space think what a totally selfish p*****k.

Just a guess mind you.

Edit: Predicting that this thread won't go too well for you.

Can you post a photo of the way your car was parked so that we can put it in the bad parking thread?

I don't take photos of myself parking. Is that a Faceprick thing?

Nope.
I always make sure my car is in the lines perfectly.
I have been known to get back in the car twice just to make sure my parking is perfect.
More so if its a busy car park.
I suggest you try the same.
Im also wondering your other thread on vandalism was something to do with arrogant parking..?

Had a right go at a cyclist going like the clappers down a steep footpath, and narrowly missing my 7yr old son. Felt a bit embarrassed after, but I was scared and angry at the time, and didn't think too much before mouth engaged.

Mind you he did slink off looking embarrassed. smile

nope not unless they do something terribly out of line.

I wouldnt have a go at people for bad parking, not clearing up dog poo, dropping a pop can on the floor, trivial things like that. I value my time too much to waste on having a go a total stranger.

I'm not looking for approval. I couldn't care less what you, the internet, the individual concerned or the world in general thinks about my parking. rofl

I suppose I was hoping there might be some people here to take it on themselves to offer advice to random strangers and I might get an insight into their motivation.

I`m really amazed that you need to ask such a question ! How about a lack of respect for other drivers trying to park or do you not even think of that ?

I wouldn't pull someone up for parking without any consideration for anyone other than themselves.
But I wouldn't park that way.

It's not something I would challenge someone about either, so I'm interested to hear from anyone who would. I'm guessing it's the same sort of person who loved denouncing people in 30's Germany because I'm utterly at a loss to comprehend any other reason apart from being a busybody with nothing better to do.

I get that, and would probably do the same, but not how someone (scrote or otherwise) parks. How do you react to bad parking?

Have you ever considered he was doing it for your benefit?

On some council car parks you can get a £30 ticket for even touching the lines with your tyres...

I have nothing to add but to say I like the analogy. I thought bookface was good but I like yours better.
