In this Car magazine is the latest TVR buying guide , and part of the Tamora "write up" mentions that the Tamora never received the Mk3 Tuscan chassis revisions....

Now I know we can never believe most of what is written in the press about TVR's , but any ideas as to what the "revisions" might be???

IIRC, the last Tuscan chassis were Sagaris design - so a wider track, different dampers, different pick up points and the like.

Yep.. which is why i find it strange that people struggle with Tuscans over, Tamoras and T350's, when they appear to have identical chassis's. The difference can only be in the geometry and set up.

Tuscans are a few years earlier than the Tamora - no doubt TVR were improving their chassis every time a new model came out, and we get what we have now?

(I could be talking out of my arse though! biggrin )

Pretty sure that (apart from suspension arms in the earlier tuscans) the chassis's are identical. Pick up points etc didnt change until the sagaris/tusan2/3 came along.

Someone probably has some more in depth info on what exactly changed. But im pretty sure it was nothing on the chassis itself..

The race T350 runs a Tamora chassis, but it was labelled (in felt tip pen) Tamora RACE chassis. The only difference I found was the upper front wishbone mounts moved inwards to give more scope for adding negative camber using std arms/hubs etc. In every other respect it appears to be std tamora/t350/tuscan1 as far as suspension mountings are concerned. Which suggests that if TVR thought the only change required for racing was a bit more negative camber at the front that they thought the rest of the geo was more than adequate .. ?

Could be wrong but I believe that while each car (Tam,T350,Tuscan) had the same chassis, steering racks were different and also suspension settings. I think this makes the difference.

that implies a moving of the upper wishbone inner pivots too as they share the same bolt if they're like the other models?

Sag here shown with tuscan T350 Tam mount points also, although just for jig purposes
Tus 2 rear shockers improved, but travel compromised if running low ride height, , but still the best tus set up
