Would you avoid a DBS with the "smoker's pack"? I understand this includes and ash tray and a cigar lighter, but do you lose anything in place of these? More concerning is the thought of having the lovely leathery smell replaced with something distinctly less appealing. The car is some way away so it's not easy for me to nip down and sniff the car(?!). I could always ask the sales staff over the phone I suppose, but how truthful are they likely to be I wonder.

I wouldn't dismiss it just because of the option being there.

If it had been smoked in though I wouldn't even consider it.

Hi there I've been asked to come down and sniff the car for a mate.

A whole new kind of kink. However if in Cheshire if happily go round and poke my nose in :-)

The alternative to smokers pack is a cubby hole.

I smoke but never in the car or home - disgusting habit that stunts your growth.

It's at HMW in Walton-on-Thames. Private plate in the pics though so not sure about the demo thing, but it's certainly got all the extras as far as I can tell, apart from the TTII gearbox of course. Tricky one.

My V8V has smoker pack but never smoked in - the cigar lighter socket comes in handy for powering the sat nav.

I believe that some specified this option for the crystal ashtray - albeit a useless object. Cigar lighter socket is handy though.

Thank you for the kind offer. Unfortunately the car sold on Saturday! Someone at the dealer was kind enough to get in touch to clarify the situation. As suggested above, it was in fact a demo with all the extra boxes ticked. These manual cars don't hang about on the forecourts that's for sure!

The search continues...

Same with mine. It was a dealer specced car, so lots of options ticked. I keep my parking change in the glass ashtra.y

I guess your looking for a manual are you saying that they get snapped up quick?
Just curios because I think these models will hold there price more than the auto but it is only my opinion I welcome other opinions.

Mine sounds very similar but if it has ever been smoked in I can't detect it and I have a pretty sensitive nose. I detest the smell of smoke. The golden rule however, is that you must ALWAYS see and drive a car of that quality to ensure that you are happy. You CANNOT buy it unseen simply because you expect it to match up to your personal fantasies of what an Aston Martin is going to be like.

The DBS is particularly important because the smell of the semi-aniline leather is to die for. Anyone who smokes in a car like that is a p---k.

For my money, and I have spent a lot of time thinking about this, if you are going to buy a DBS it has to be 2+0 manual.

IMO I think that if you are going to buy a DBS it has to be a late model with B&O and be manual. Whether 2+0 or 2+2 probably doesn't matter but 2+2 is probably best way to go as gives options just in case. Cameras are good option as rear diffusers are a bit costly laugh

I'm sorry, I get emotive about stuff like that. I withdraw my remark. It's your car and you are entitled to do what you like with it. It just causes me pain to think about it. This is the one thing that spoilt the opening titles of 'The Italian Job' for me. Rossano Brazzi was smoking in a Lamborghini Miura.

I am also curious whether, as a smoker, you are under the impression that smoke from the occasional cigarette isn't noticeable.
