Anyone know a good mortgage broker?

Can anyone recommend a good mortgage broker who deals with “unusual” cases, and can process quickly.

A friend (British citizen) is returning to UK following 14 years in Switzerland. He has had an offer accepted on a property in York but having problems with the high street lenders due to not being on the electoral roll.

I assume they are using an automated credit check and this is causing them issues.
