You never know, MS may have great big warehouses full to satisfy demand on Day One. Probably not though

Its 100% safe becuase I could just take it back and get my money back if it comes to it.

They have announced they will be enough stock for demand of normal Xbox Ones on day even for people who haven't pre-ordered.

But I was just thinking about some desparate fanboys out there who want the special edition with an achievement and a little bit of engraving on the controller, and free Fifa 14!

I think I managed to shift a wii on release a few days after for about £350, bought it for £180. But that was completely sold out.

360s briefly got to about 800 quid on release day. It was a difficult decision to open mine and use it instead.

I was told there will be one with Ryse as well.

Game told me you will get a card with a download code on it, Tesco said they will be the full version on disc?

Wait until the day I suppose? Not that I'm counting, but currently that would be 55 days, 20 hours and 35 minutes

I'v not heard of any coming with Ryse but maybe its the 3rd allocation, the second allocation was the Forza 5 ones but it was very limited stock, like 5 or less a store or something like that.

It is digital codes in the box not a hard copy.

Can someone help clear the situation up?

So I pre-ordered my Xbox One in early June from a Game store. At the time Day One packages weren’t available but subsequently have been released.

Last week I went into the Game store I ordered the console from (its near my parents who are 30 miles away…hence not going in sooner or going in myself to answer the question) and asked did my order in June mean I was going to get a day one packaged console. Yes I was told so that meant for me at the time free Fifa14 (which tbh is neither here nor there for me).

Reading this thread it turns out you can get day one consoles with Forza5 (YES PLEASE) and maybe a third option.

How are these allocated? I like a lot of people want Forza5 as it’s a game I’m going to buy but if its free is it in the lap of the gods to say if I’ll get one of these or is it time bound as in first trance = Fifa14, Second Trance = Forza5 etc….

I've ordered a Day One console. Didn't know there was going to be a free game with it - so that's a bonus. I've no interest in FIFA so can I make sure get Forza instead? (It's at Game btw, in case that makes any difference.)

There are two boxed versions of the day one console, one comes with Fifa and the other Forza 5. The Forza bundle seemed to be in much shorter supply, you'll need to speak to the place you've got it pre-ordered with to clarify, but unless you specifically chose the Forza bundle I'd expect you'll get the Fifa one, it's not a choice you'll be able to make on launch day unfortunately.

I ordered a standard XBox One from Amazon and got upgraded to Day One Edition with Fifa, there was no choice with Forza 5. There still seem to be stocks of Day One around even now. Looking on Ebay not many pre-order XBox ones for sale or going for any decent sort of increase.

However the PS4 seems to increasing in value. I have a PS4 on order too, but no confirmed delivery date even though I ordered it in early August.
