Friend has gone on holiday leaving us her small tropical tank.

The two fish were approx 3cm long by 1cm high.

One has been dwelling (but moving) near the bottom for a couple of days.

Today we look in and it has disappeared.

There is no sign of it in the tank and it can't / hasn't jumped out.

Surely a fish cannot eat another it's own size in 24hrs ?

It was more a case that I couldn't believe a single fish has eaten another it's own size in 24 hours.

they may have shrimps etc in the tank that only come out at night. you will be amazed just how quickly they can pull fish apart.
