Best tip is not to do it unless you really have to. As RusselMC says, they shear off in the chassis with alarming ease.
It didn't both me since I was taking the body off to change the outriggers but I would have been livid if I was just trying to improve the standard crappy seatbelts problem. You can't really get access to Plusgas the ones in the sill outrigger tube effectively either.

Had the same problem on my S Series (same set up), no chance of getting any heat near the thread and although I was doing a body lift depending where the bolts sheared the "stub" left could have been a problem.
So last resort was to try a can of this.....

.... worked a treat, both bolts out and nothing broken/damaged

Interested to know why the standard seat belts are crappy. A bit of lock up yes sometimes otherwise as good as my BM. For convenient parking and not crushing on doors see pic on Griff Retrim post.It didn't both me since I was taking the body off to change the outriggers but I would have been livid if I was just trying to improve the standard crappy seatbelts problem. It's the persistent locking when trying to put them on that annoys me. Never had it so bad in any other car and can be so bad when parked on a slope that I have to drive onto the flat so I can get the belt on.Gassing Station | Griffith | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
