I know that I need to replace it and I will in time, I just need to drive to Worcester tomorrow at half 6 and I won't be able to get one in time.

Anyway, I have a feeling that my fuel filter has a build up inside it as the car plutters and coughs under load. We have pretty much ruled out ignition trouble due to trouble shooting to no avail.

There are sites on the internet that say special spray, however, motor factors close at the same time I finish work so there is no way I can do this.
There are fuel additives that claim to clean the systems, will these work at all? If not is there another way to clean the filter?

Many thanks,
Bob

All I can suggest is reverse flushing it with petrol (if a diesel do the same) under pressure. They are pretty much a consumable however. Surely you can get a new one from a motor factor?

How would I reverse flush it under pressure?
It's 6am not 6pm I have to leave so I can't get one from a motor factor
