V5 and TVR !!!

Just had my local garage tap my reg number into their computer to see what info it had:

Registered as a .........TVR (no other model number or whatever)

Year.....................1988

displacement............ 2798cc (also had engine number)

Colour ..................Blue

So looks like it is an S1 and not a 1.5 as I had previously been told it had a 2.9 in it.

Bit surprised it is described without a model type and just TVR

That is not too bad, when I first checked my S on car check and my insurance company enquiry it came back as a Skoda Fabia. I soon put them right!!!

What's on the paperwork and what engine is under the bonnet may well not match. Easy to spot the difference between a 2.8 / 2.9

mmm interesting Adrian, mine comes back as a TVR 290S Tasmin - haven't got a clue what one of those is
