I probably should have asked for opinions before pressing the buy button.. however, has anyone had any experience with them? Any good? I bought a set for my GT mountain bike. I have found my self doing a lot more commuter work on it than anything off road, although coming up to winter soon I guess I should have to change back to my Maxxis Ignitor tyres. I bought them in the 1.95 width (which I think is the widest they do).
I have had a set of 1.5" on my MTB for the last couple of years and have been very happy. I had been primarily riding on country roads and canal paths and changed to city jets to make life easier for a charity 50 miler. Havnt needed or wanted to take them off since and still ride some steep off road ascents when deviating from the towpath.
Just make sure you have them pumped up properly - having pulled the trigger on a decent track pump (joe blow 2) with a pressure guage it makes a world of difference having a decent pressure in them. Happily cracked out a decent pace with my m8 on his roadie over a 40 miler at the weekend.
All of the above said I finally joined the road bike fraternity this summer and have been loving it - will be riding the MTB on Jets as my winter bike though.

I echo the the above, been running them for 6+ years 6000+ miles
Ran them in 1.95 in past and 1.5 at mo on my MTB commuter which I use in bad weather to get to work (20 mile round trip, all country roads)
No complaints, a bit heavy , but they are tough and really last, had about 3 punctures ever and all those were due to not inflating them up enough. On the 1.5's they say to inflate to 80psi, which gives a very firm ride, I used to let them drop to about 60, but picked up two punctures in one week (unheard of usually!)
They are quite fun on mild off road muddy tracks, it is fun sliding the bike round corners, but forget serious mud, or keeping up with mates with proper off road tyres! Even ran then through a very snowed over 3 mile bridleway every day for a month using cable ties as makeshift snow chains!!!!
The 1.95s gave so much confidence on tarmac due to the large contact area and huuge side walls to run up, there is an off camber potholed corner, that has standing water 365 days a year, halfway down a steep hill into my village. On the roadie I have to tiptoe round, on the MTB with cityjets I fly round @ 35-40 not having to worry about taking a decent line!
Overall there might be better tyres, but its difficult to beat them on value, no hassles and durability .

Another vote for the city Jets here. I got a set from Wiggle last week for my hardtail and have put around 80km on them so far. They are amazing compared to the knobblies that were on there, I went for the 1.5 width.
They do suggest pumping them upto 85psi and my hand pump is struggling to get past 60ish, I got a front wheel puncture on monday and im not sure if this was the reason? I did swap inners to a Btwin 1.2 - 1.5 on sunday, again a cheap innertube could be to blame. Or it could just be a case of sh*t happens.

Got them through the post a few days after ordering.. only done about 40 miles so far as I have been busy (excuses excuses!) however here is what I chucked them on:
Thanks for the suggestions. It's transformed the ride completely.. a lot faster with less of an effort and I can free wheel for what seems like ages. Superb.
