Whhat brands are people using? I recall the factory recommending Shell Helix.

Halfords own.

Only joking. I use helix ultra.
Think some use opie oil

opie oils sell all oils lol... I use the Fuchs titan race pro s 10-50... some use 10-60

Get 20 litres barrels on eBay for £98.

+1 (not sure of ratio). You get it from Opie oils. Think they have free delivery at the mo.

had Castrol edge 5w40 fully synthetic now have shell helix 5w40 don't know the mobil one

Helix Ultra - Cheap enough from Opie Oils...


... I put 5L through before remembering the sump plug lol.Im just glad they sell it at the local Petrol station.
Wont be making that mistake again!

Just had mine serviced at Christopher Neils, they used Mobil Super 3000 5-40 (formerly called Mobil Synt S )

I use Mobile 1. 10w60 race formula works better in warmer climates, in uk i struggle to get oil temps up past 95 and hsve to tape up the front grill on one side, in Spain it works well, use in the Caterham to.

Looks good, and they do a 10w55, wonder if there gear box oil is good too?

Think you will find most of the above is for 6 speed box smile shell helix for me (6 speed box) smile

I just asked Jetstream this and they recommended Millers CRX 75W90 so that's what I'm going to use when I get my floor reseal finished!
Its £15 a litre from ebay and you will need 2 litres.
