Mill rook performance driving day
Discussion
I was hoping to do the PDC this year but decided I'd wait until next year now. Don't want to book a day and then have to do it on a damp circuit as I'd like to see the dry surface limits of my car rather than the damp surface limits.
That said, I bet the 10th October is going to be hot now

Part of the PDC is about handling in the wet. TBH, whilst its nice to have good weather for this you would probably get just as much, possibly more, out of it in adverse weather conditions! The guys who take you out are brilliant and you can learn a lot from them

I'd rather explore the ability and limits of my car in the conditions in which I am most likely to be driving it, i.e. dry roads.V12woollie said:
Molly, that is of course fine. I just don't want all of the PDC to be about wet handling, which it would be if it was raining

Bit of a problem here Seemon. By next year there will not be a manual V12V available at the PDC

The chap said they would be keeping the V12 manual, but then these things are always subject to changing.
The V12V I am reliably informed will be there on the day. It's the car I have chosen to drive for the day as I wanted to try something different from my DB9. Should be a real eye opener methinks!V12woollie said:

You need to MTFU my friend. Tony will be on here soon to re-tell the story of the trip home from SPA in monsoon weather.

I suspect that is because there are still a few new ones knocking around that can now be bought for tuppence

Hi Nicolas - how is project Aston Martin purchase looking?
The car description (e.g options that I am looking for) has been drawn, the various excel spreadsheets have reviewed by Tony, Steve and Seemon so the brief is defined. They also provided good tips about the timing of the purchase.
There are 2 parameters that I need to take into consideration:
- will I be working in the UK in 4 months time (you may see FrogIn????) and the AM will purchase in the new country and
- Finding the "right car" (a no no for the Caspian blue for the internal color) meaning the balance between the year and the mileage. mileage vs cost vs year etc. There are some interesting findings when charts and maths are involved!
May be I should prepare a powerpoint presentation for the October D&D meeting.
Be reassured you will be on my speed dial to check the car!

Nicolas, mon ami, just get it bought! If you insist on a formal business case presentation at the D&D then we will insist on the use of napkins for any workings out (which in tried and tested fashion must be shown in the margin!) There is no chance of any discussion staying focused that long.
We have managed to skate over golf, Christmas, 2014 Eurohoon without breaking wind; actually, Pete was in fair form, so maybe that was wrong.. Just buy it and then we can tell you how sagacious and sophisticated that you are.
Please get one that shows up on a colour TV, just for a change.
