Hello all,

I am yet to have a child but whilst my earning power is relatively strong and developing I want to put some money aside each month via a d/d into a fund for my future child. What would be the best way of doing this and maximising any interest? would be nice also not to have access to it per say.

Many thanks in advance

CTF's have now been replaced by "Junior ISA's".

Dont know much about them myself, but if you use the usual money comparison sites I'm sure it'd be a good starting place.

I imagine you would need a child for a Junior ISA, and in any case the money is locked away until they are 18 and you can't get your hands on it once it is in.

I am sure that there must be some investment vehicle, but at the end of the day you just want an account/policy that maximises return.

Putting money aside for a child before making one? thats not how it works you have as many as you can and let the state look after them you don't save!

In all honesty child ISA needs a child i've just opend one with Halifax for little BS2 for a regular contribution from us and to save all his birthday and christmas money im thinking if we can do £1000 a year that would be a nice little pot of money for him to blow on his first car ;-)
