My VX220 Turbo
Discussion
Finally sold the 996 having scratched that itch, and now I am back in a VX220. It's my 7th now, due to various reasons and easily my best one. It looked like this when I picked it up

Not too keen on the black bits, so have gone about 'standardising' it. The engine mods will stay, currently about 240bhp with an MMG Stage 3 remap.

Done already:
Repainted front V silver
New silver dash plates
Silver fuel surround fitted
New starter button fitted
Refreshed seat runners
VW wiper relay
fitted new wiper and removed the 'spray bar mod'
fitted new aerial
Still to do...
Repair soft top (it was ruined by a well known soft top renovating product)
Fit new CD player
Replace black wheels with silver (thanks Jules!)
Fit new badges front and rear
Program new key
Fit new hardtop (maybe when the weather gets s
tter)
And more...

I love these cars....every time I see one on the road I cant stop looking at it, as above it is very understated and in my opinion better than the elise (looks wise). I always remember when Clarkson drove the turbo on topgear, I wanted one!!!
Cracking car and keep up the good work, look forward to seeing more pics of this.

Cracking looking car. Love the colour contrast between the hood and body. Hard to ignore how cheap these are now compared to Elise's!
It is arguably the better steer of the two, until you start getting into stupid money for the Elise. The style has aged better than the Elise, which really is a rarity for Vauxhall, is it not?!p4cks said:

I didn't care for the black bits, so the window surround has returned to silver as well as the wheels (refurbished) and full set of new badges (bloody expensive!) and treated it to new tyres all round. Oh, and I washed and polished it.

I very much like the OEM look on a moonland VX as there are just the right amount of silver bits. I've also bought a new moonland hardtop but I won't be fitting that until it snows. I am geordie remember.
