I'm always browsing on AutoTrader, and keep noticing cars which are too cheap, I have ignored them previously putting it down to a scam, but I keep seeing them again and again over the past few months now, are they a scam, if so, what are they doing?

They all have adverts with a banner at the bottom of the picture quoting an email address, which is always different and the phone number also differs, but I have a gut feeling they are all put on by the same (private) seller.

Has anyone else noticed these adverts, or am I being paranoid?

Have a look at these:

Apologies if it has been mentioned before, I coudln't find anything in a search though.

Yes, they are all a scam. I can't remember exactly what they do, but ultimately it involves removing you of your hard earned cash for nothing in return.

Avoid them all.

I imagine you enquire and then you get a message saying it's someone who lives abroad returning with the car to the UK so you can't see the car but they will happily take a 50% deposit off you before it lands...... then the car is never seen or heard of.

Reported.

Edit: It will be intersting to see how long it takes for them to be removed.

2nd edit: Just checked one I reported yesterday and its still there. Get you thumb out Autotrader!
