Removing charge from property

not sure if this is in the right place place but need advice on removing a "charge" from a property.

When i was getting divorced my solicitor advised me to place a charge on the marital home so my wife couldnt sell it. Now everything is done and dusted i need to remove the charge. Is this something i can do myself with the land registry or do i need a solicitor to do it?

Call your local land registry, they'll check what you've put on the register and send you relevant forms to remove it. Normally no fees for doing this. Form should be simple enough.
