Drove the Black Mountain Pass today from Llangadog to Brynamman. Did it about 5 this afternoon and the road was pretty much empty, the weather was superb too. Stunning.

A word of warning though to anyone who's not driven it before, take it very easy, a few of those hairpins/switchbacks just seem to appear out of nowhere. I'm glad I took it sensibly as they're really deceiving.

The scenery was fantasic, well worth a visit though its over very quickly. I also took the long drive down, going through Usk, Abergavenny and Brecon and some of those roads are surprisingly good too.

A great day, but left the camera at home frown

Ah yes, the A4069 smile

A fantastic road I first sampled in a Renault 11 TXE in 1987.

I've been back a few times smile

I'll definitely be going back, it was a bit of a last minute thing and there was a massive jam outside of Crickhowell, so had one attempt before it got dark. Some of those bends will easily catch you out, couldn't believe it. A nice drop down the side for a bit too. It had it all.
