I grew up in Irvine which is only 5 miles away. One of my first memories is seeing a puff of black smoke out towards Arran soon followed by a streak of a Phantom as it hammered past close to 700mph. Also remember seeing a Starfighter there...I was only 2 at the time though.

Great news if they can pull it off.

I was at the last held with my Dad. Met Pete Conrad (3rd man on the Moon) in the BCal hospitality tent and fell completely in love with the Vulcan bomber as it roared in a huge climb just above us. The ground shook!
