Locking wheel nut code?
Discussion
I've made the schoolboy error of taking my 2006 Focus to get new tyres without checking that the locking wheel nut was present.
Just rung my local Ford dealer to see if they stock them and was told that there should be a "key number" somewhere that they will need to see if they have the right locking wheel nut in stock.
Does anyone know where I can find this? Ive checked owners handbook etc for any printed codes but can't find anything relevant.
Cheers

I just bought a Ka and couldn't find my key.
I rang Ford who were unhelpful telling me I would have to have them removed (cost unknown) and then buy another seat (40 pound)
My Mondeo had 2 keys, so I tried them... and one fitted. Ive since found the Ka key too.
If you know anyone with Ford locking nuts give them a try first.

It wold help to know which design of LW nuts/bolts you mean.
Years ago I lost the tool for the (FoMoCo) LW bolts on my Orion Inj.
The type with three pins at different angles & spacings.
Fords said they could get them out but it would wreck the bolts and might wreck the wheels.
Well I can do brutal I thought, but lets try the gentle touch.
I took a print of the end of the bolt with paper & a dirty thumb.
Went back to Fords and the chap on the spares counter let me open a couple of LW bolt packs until I found one that looked like it fitted. Bought it and went back home - it nearly fitted. Using Blu-Tak, I worked out that one hole needed opening up slightly with a drill.
Viola, now I knew which tool to order.
Once that had arrived, I sold the complete, almost un-used LWB set the same day.
No trashed bolts, no trashed wheels.

but you will need to buy lock nuts after if you still cant find your original
Or... I lost the key for the locking wheel nuts on my Wife's Galaxy, the price for new ones was very high so I bought 4 normal wheel nuts and a locking nut removal tool (Halfords) which was much cheaper. After all who is going to steal the (kerbed) wheels off an old Galaxy...
