I like it! biggrin

Besides, it's not designed for us, like the LWB 3-Series, it's made for China where they crave saloons.

I really like Mercedes. Maybe it's my age, I grew up in the 80's, but I really don't like the styling of the CLA. Both the proportions and the fussiness just seem wrong for a Mercedes, to me at least.

So I agree!

It suffers from the banana issue like the cls. Saggy arse. A shame as I like the c class

People are going to love it or hate it. I personally love it! Think it's one of the best looking saloons there is for that money. Something quite different.

I'm glad somebody made this topic, they look horrific. I can get over the front but then from the rear quarter it looks like it has been in an accident. Really awkward looking things.

Edit: Those pictures are flattering, have a look at one in person and the awkward droop at the rear is really prominent.

I love it but then I drive a v8 CLS :-) it may be a banana but it's a 5.0V8 banana :-)

Mercedes have in my eyes lost a lot of the class they once had, but no doubt profits are up.

It's not great is it, but then look at the competition - it's gorgeous compared to the 1-series.

Saw one in a car park this morning in Newark. I thought it had been in a rear end collision, then I thought my windscreen glass was distorting the appearance of the car and then I realised it was meant to look like that.

Overall it was very much a white goods looking car like an A or B class.

I followed one the other day and thought it looked like some had stuck it in a vice and squeezed it.

Proportions look all wrong

The rear 3/4 view is the worst. I've seen a couple in the metal now and that 1st pic makes it look a lot better than it is.

Car is just too small for the shape to work IMO.

I see it continues the MB trend of giant badges on the grille. Just how massive are they going to get - I'm sure they'll soon be larger than the wheels.

I like the idea of it, but having seen one the other day, I have to say vomit
