Sigh.
The Drayson car, whilst impressive, didn't set any outright land speed record, nowhere close to it in fact. I think they set some record for a <1000 kg car though.
This 'Venturi' looks to be a development of the Buckeye Bullet produced by Ohio State which has previously cracked over 300 mph.
It would seem to owe as much to Venturi as the Lotus F1 car does to Lotus Cars.
